Our Story
We didn't build MortuPro because we saw a market opportunity. We built it because we needed it ourselves — and nothing else existed.
The Origin
First Call Removals is a funeral transport company based in Southeast Texas. We handle removals for funeral homes, crematories, and medical facilities across the region — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
When we started, we used a combination of group texts, spreadsheets, and manual invoicing to run the operation. It worked — until it didn't. Missed calls at 3 AM. Invoices never sent. Drivers who didn't know the pickup address until the last minute.
We looked for software. We tried what was available. Most tools were built for funeral homes, not transport companies. The ones that existed were outdated, clunky, or priced for enterprise customers.
So we built what we wished existed. That software became MortuPro.
Today, First Call Removals runs on MortuPro for every single transport. We are the first customer, the most demanding tester, and the loudest advocate. Every feature you see is something we use ourselves.
Timeline
Tommy Morgado starts FCR as a funeral transport company in Southeast Texas. Running on group texts and spreadsheets. Works well enough — for now.
A missed call at 2 AM. An invoice never sent. A driver who navigated to the wrong hospital. It's clear the operation needs real software — and nothing on the market fits.
We build a basic dispatch system just for FCR. Smart intake, SMS alerts, a driver mobile link. It's rough but it works. The team loves it immediately.
After refining the platform on FCR's real operations for months, we open it to other funeral transport companies. The response validates everything.
Today MortuPro serves funeral homes, crematories, and transport companies across the country. FCR still runs on it every single day.
